L. Stein (American, 20th century). Two untitled pastel compositions on paper, one signed "L. Stein" and dated 1983. A gorgeous pendant pair of abstract pastels, both presenting striking geometric, non-objective compositions, delineated in an attractive color palette of aqua, brick red, teal, mint green, lavendar, and sienna. The two pastels conjure influences ranging from Surrealism to Color Field painting and are both beautifully set on floating white mattes behind glass in black metal frames. Ideal for anyone who appreciates the rhythmic patterns conveyed by geometric art from the 1980s. Size of slightly larger pastel: 28.875" L x 22.25" W (73.3 cm x 56.5 cm) Size of frame: 35.25" L x 25.75" W (89.5 cm x 65.4 cm); other pastel is slightly smaller, but frame is the same size
