Buffalo Kaplinski (American, b. 1943). "Fairfax Colorado South Park Barn" - acrylic on canvas board, ca. 2020. Signed and titled on the verso. A picturesque scene of a lone red barn amidst golden fields in southern Colorado, with snowcapped mountains in the distance by American artist Buffalo Kaplinski. Titled and signed by the artist on the verso, the painting is set under glass in an attractive wood frame with a linen matte. Size of painting: 9.25" W x 7.375" H (23.5 cm x 18.7 cm) Size of frame: 16.25" W x 13.25" H (41.3 cm x 33.7 cm)
Kaplinski studied at the American Academy of Art and the Chicago Art Institute. He then moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1967 where the natural landscape inspired him to became an outstanding landscape artist, working in both acrylic and watercolor. Kaplinksi's work has been exhibited by the American Watercolor Society, the Artists of America show, and the National Academy of Design. In addition to painting the natural environs of the American Southwest, and being honored as an invited artist in the "Rims and Ruins Exhibit - Paintings done at Mesa Verde National Park, Durango, Colorado" (2014) he has created plein air paintings in approximately twenty five countries.

Condition
Signed and titled on the verso. Label for Sandra Wilson collection on verso as well. Painting is in excellent condition. Frame has a few scuffs but is otherwise excellent and intact with hooks on the verso for suspension.
