Ancient Near East, The Levant, Canaan, ca. 2100 to 1900 BCE. A handsome trio of ancient bronze and copper weapons. The bronze sword has a prominent midrib that runs from the broad shoulders and tapers to the blade tip. The other two weapons, a javelin butt and a spearhead, are cast from copper. All have tangs for hafting onto poles or handles. A rich green patina envelops the surface of all, and the presentation is excellent! These are professionally mounted and displayed in a wooden frame with a velvet backing and engraved brass label plates. Size of sword: 17.6" L x 2" W (44.7 cm x 5.1 cm); javelin: 10.25" L x 0.5" W (26 cm x 1.3 cm); frame: 12" L x 23.5" W (30.5 cm x 59.7 cm)
