A wonderful ensemble of five antique prints depicting various hunting dogs, including: a Pointer hunting a duck by artist Paul Wood released by Paris Etching Society, ca. 1935 (print is both signed by the artist and bears the Paris Etching Society stamp); "The Useful" by C.F. Deiker, signed and dated 1866 in the plate on lower right, depicting a dog holding a bird in its mouth; a Gordon Setter raising a pheasant by American artist Paul Wood released by Paris Etching Society (American despite its name), ca. 1935 (print is both signed by the artist and bears the Paris Etching Society stamp); a Flat-Coated Retriever carrying a rabbit in its mouth (artist unknown); and finally, the engraving "Dogs and Game, by (Alexandre-Francois) Desportes (about A.D. 1700), Showing the Early Foxhound and Pointer Cross in France." ca. 1882. Paul Wood prints show slight toning but are both intact, signed by the artist, identified as artist's proofs (A.P.), and bear the Paris Etching Society stamp. Two Flat-Coated Retriever prints show slight toning and have trimmed edges that do not impact the images. Desportes print has slight toning and left edge is trimmed.
