Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom to Late Dynastic Period, 18th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 332 BCE. A mold-formed terracotta pilgrim flask of ornate form bearing elaborate floral motifs on each side. Each broad flower is surrounded by rings of stippling, parallel bars, or chevron patterns while the top is surmounted by a pair of loop handles as well as a squat spout. One unusual characteristic about this vessel is the pair of nubbin feet below the body. Size: 1.89" L x 2.4" W x 3.39" H (4.8 cm x 6.1 cm x 8.6 cm); 4.09" H (10.4 cm) on included custom stand.
