A collection of 10 celluloid and tin buttons displaying photos and headshots of actors and actresses; all mounted on paper board discs. The thick paper disk is printed with the actor's name and the Yorkville theater that they performed at, a few include the year and their role in the production. These collectable buttons were made by W.C. Gott Souvenirs and Advertising. Which is stamped on the back of most of the discs. Many of these actors were cast in the "The Red Carnation," a play by Elizabeth Lee Shepard (also known as Odette Tyler). This collection includes the actors Harry Cowan, William J. Kelley, Effie Bond, Nettie Douglas, Will R. Walling, James Cooper, Anne Sutherland, Robert Cummings, Milt Dawson, and the manager Dave Weis. A few of these stage actors also starred in silent films, including Will Walling and Anne Sutherland. Size of larger buttons: 2.25" W (5.7 cm); paper disc: 4.5" W (11.4 cm); smaller buttons: 1.75" W (4.4 cm); paper disc: 3.75" W (9.5 cm)

Great condition. Minor scuffs and tears to corners of paper discs. Some staining and discoloration to the buttons and photos. All are pierced on the top for suspension or display.
