North America, United States, ca. 21st century CE. This is a usable tool that is designed to impress: a unique knife made by the artist R. Stratton, combining prehistoric mammoth tooth with a modern steel blade and leather sheath. The fixed blade has a single cutting edge and a pointed tip, stamped with the makers name "R. Stratton." The tang is covered with a vibrant pair of mammoth tooth panels, cut and polished, displaying warm orange and yellow hues of the molar's ridges. The sheath is a leather pocket that covers the blade and part of the grip and is sewn to a second leather panel that has two loops for a belt to fit through. This was indeed made to be used and carried on adventures as the blade is very sharp. Size of blade only: 2.8" L x 0.75" W (7.1 cm x 1.9 cm); knife: 6.5" L x 0.75" W (16.5 cm x 1.9 cm); sheath: 5" L x 5" W (12.7 cm x 12.7 cm)
