Michael Delaney (American, 20th century), a charcoal drawing of a Greek Geometric Horse sculpture, ca. late 20th to early 21st century. Signed at lower right. A wonderful rendering of a Greek Geometric horse presented in all its abstract glory - with the quintessential elegance and clarity of this minimalist form - an iconic example of Greek Geometric art. Note also how Delaney's use of chiaroscuro imbues this composition with a wonderful sense of modeling so as to capture the three dimensionality of a sculpture.
