Charles (Charlie) Meyer (American 1914-2005). Collection of over 40 pages of original pen and ink illustrations painstakingly replicating Native American points, spears and artifacts. These were the illustrations used in the Greg Perino Book - ""Selected Preforms, Points and Knives of the North American Indians. Vol. 2."" Among the many illustrations are artist's notes and comments about the book itself. The book, which is included, is a first edition, printed in 1991. Size of book: 8.75" L x 1.125" W x 11.25" H (22.2 cm x 2.9 cm x 28.6 cm); papers are approximately: 11"L x 8.5" W (27.9 cm x 21.6 cm)
In addition to being a stellar illustrator, Charlie was a passionate collector of Native American stone points and tools amassing a collection of world-class objects found mostly by himself throughout the Midwest, southern US and Texas. If you are a serious collector of Native American stone artifacts, you will immediately recognize the name Greg Perino. Perino was by far the most well known and respected authority on Native American stone works having written several books that are considered the ""Bible"" of Indian point types and authentication.
