Revered as the "king of the skies," the single-headed eagle naturally embodied imperial strength, authority, and a sense of lofty dominion. Its sharp gaze and powerful flight suggested far-reaching power and vigilance, making it a fitting emblem to represent the might and prestige of the Byzantine emperors.
