Ancient Greece, Boeotia, ca. 550 BCE. A hand-built pottery female figure presenting with a concave ovoid base, a flattened columnar body, outstretched nubbin arms, and a long neck graced by a necklace with a ring-shaped pendant leading to her abstract, bird-like face. Her visage presents with painted eyes, a protruding beak-like nose, a hair ornament that resembles a rosette, and a long coiffure with tendrils falling to her shoulders and back. A lovely example from this early culture of ancient Greece. Size: 2.125" W x 5.3" H (5.4 cm x 13.5 cm)
