About the Artist: "Bob Barlow, a Wyoming native, was the son of a pioneer ranching family. Although he lived in Billings, Montana, his travels and love of outdoor painting took him to many parts of the world. His most notable and extended trips produced paintings from onsite locations in East Africa, Russia and Prague, Czech Republic, where he resided for several months each year. However, the beauty of Wyoming and Montana always called him back and inspired his work.
Barlow has been featured in such national publications as American Artist (June 2000) and Big Sky Journal (Winter 2000). He took part in a two-man exhibition with his son Michael J. Barlow, a wildlife sculptor, at the Bradford Brinton Memorial Museum in Big Horn, Wyoming, where he has been honored with several solo and group exhibitions over the years.
Barlow was a member of the prestigious National Arts Club and Salmagundi Club, both in New York City. He passed away in August 2022." (Simpson Gallagher Gallery website)
