Ancient Near East, The Levant, ca. early 2nd millennium BCE. An interesting mold-cast bronze standing male figure with small tangs protruding from the bottoms of both feet. The figure presents nude atop delineated legs and centralized genitalia, a slender waist, a corseted neck, and narrow shoulders holding aloft a pair of sinuous arms. The stylized head boasts recessed ovoid eyes beneath puffy brows, a diamond-shaped nose above thin lips, and a prominent chin, all beneath a conical cap. Lustrous layers of green and brown patina envelop this intriguing figure, and areas of the exposed golden-brown bronze color are visible along the verso. Custom wooden display stand included. Size: 1.5" W x 6.375" H (3.8 cm x 16.2 cm); 7.125" H (18.1 cm) on included custom stand.
