Ancient Near East, the Levant, Canaanite culture, ca. mid-2nd to early 1st millennium BCE. A cast-copper figure standing with delineated legs atop an integral plinth. Donning a knee-length skirt and thick belt, the figure presents with raised arms perhaps to grasp a shield and weapon and has a thick neck beneath the bulbous head. Coffee-bean-shaped eyes, a triangular nose, recessed lips, and enormous ears comprise the visage, and all is shown beneath a squat conical hat. Thick layers of brown, green, and russet patina have formed across the surfaces. Size: 1.7" W x 4.1" H (4.3 cm x 10.4 cm); 5.3" H (13.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Repaired along upper body with restoration along verso. Small chips to plinth, left hand, right ear, and top of hat. Abrasions and encrustations, with softening to some finer details. Nice patina throughout. Figure is adhered to display stand and cannot be removed.
