North America; South Africa; Madagascar, ca. millions of years ago. This is a fine collection of 6 natural mineral and crystalline formations that include, quartz, celestite, and pyrite formations. The 2 larger clusters with light blue structures protruding from the top are celestite or celestine, a mineral made up of strontium sulfate. The pink rose quartz is positioned atop a plaster base that has been enhanced with multicolored stones imbedded into the surface. The last mineral formation are 2 large quartz crystals with red iron oxide inclusions upon a matrix of pyrite. Size (larger celestite): 6.5" L x 3" W x 4.5" H (16.5 cm x 7.6 cm x 11.4 cm)
