**First Time At Auction**
North America, India, and Africa, ca. millions of years ago. A fabulous collection of 5 natural mineral and crystal formations. The largest is a solid white quartz stone with a large mica formation of many layered thin plates rising vertically from the top. The next is a raw green malachite and white quartz. The white crystalline geode is split open on one end to show how the interior druse is lined with white quartzite crystalline structures across the entire surface! The last two are separate split geodes with light brown botryoidal chalcedony lobes clustered across the surface. Geodes are formed in volcanic rocks when gas bubbles create pockets for the druse to form, or sedimentary rocks such as limestone where voids in the rock have formed due to decaying organic material or gas bubbles. Fluids containing minerals, such as silica in quartz, are deposited inside these pockets which slowly turn into stunning druse crystals, botryoidals, or other mineral formations. Size (quartz & mica formation): 6.75" L x 4.5" W x 6.25" H (17.1 cm x 11.4 cm x 15.9 cm)
