North America, United States and Mexico; Central Africa, Congo, ca. millions of years ago. A collection of 5 minerals and beautiful crystal formations from around the world. The first is a silvery matrix of small duzy crystalline clusters with larger calcite prisms scattered throughout. The next two are stunning green malachite with botryoidal bubbles. Malachite is a copper mineral known for its banded crystal formations and rich green coloration. Next is a fragment from a quartzite geode with glimmering white and semi translucent crystal clusters. Last is an unassuming obsidian stone. The exterior of the volcanic stone is pitted with light mineral deposits and an area of the glassy jet-black interior is visible on one side. Obsidian is a material that mankind has used for thousands of years; when shaped, the edges of obsidian are razor sharp! Size of largest, quartz geode: 6" L x 4.5" W x 3" H (15.2 cm x 11.4 cm x 7.6 cm); smallest, obsidian: 4" L x 3" W x 2" H (10.2 cm x 7.6 cm x 5.1 cm)

Single calcite point reattached to duzy matrix. Minor rough areas around the peripheries on both malachite from excavation from larger formations. Large sizes and great preservation of crystals!
