Native America, North America, Woodland Period, ca. 1000 BCE to 1000 CE. A beautiful collection of 4 arrowheads, all carefully hand-knapped from stone. Boasting rich hues of chocolate brown and caramel, the 2 largest points display expanding stems, concave bases, and side notches with barbed shoulders and rounded shoulder edges. The most sizeable projectile, however, features an excurvate blade and a flattened cross section, while the other has a straight blade and a biconvex cross section. Next, the third point is made from a creamy vanilla-hued stone with natural striations in shades of toffee and mocha. It exhibits a lanceolate body with an excurvate blade, a serrated edge, a flattened base, and a high median ridge. Alternatively, the most petite arrowhead presents a straight blade, a flared stem, a concave base, and corner notches with a barbed shoulder and a rounded shoulder edge, all enveloped in natural tones of ash gray and butterscotch. Size of largest: 4.3" L x 1.3" W (10.9 cm x 3.3 cm); (case): 12.1" L x 8.1" W (30.7 cm x 20.6 cm)
