Native American, United States, Archaic to Woodland period, ca. 100 CE to 1870 CE (2000 to 150 BP). A collection of 35 hand-knapped stone projectile points and preforms. The points are made from chert, obsidian, and quartzite presenting a nice variety of hues and forms. Included are many identifiable types: Soto / Garza, Eastgate, Toyah, Avonlea Timber Ridge, Agee, Bonham, Gunther, Guerrero, Glendo, Madison, Clarksville, Plains Triangular, Caraway, Hamilton, Guntersville, and Fort Ancient. A diverse gathering that demonstrates projectile typology from across North America! Size of largest point: 1.75" L x .5" W (4.4 cm x 1.3 cm; size of case: 9.8" L x .75" W x 12" H (24.9 cm x 1.9 cm x 30.5 cm)
