A fabulous arrangement of 29 handmade stone blades presenting lovely hues of cinnamon, caramel, chocolate brown, maroon, puce, butterscotch, rosy brown, blue-green, grey, cream, black, and white. Boasting triangular, ovoid, stemmed, expanding stemmed, and rectangular forms, this remarkable collection was formed from stones of chert, flint, quartz, and quartzite. Some of the identifiable forms shown in this ensemble are Double Notched, Watts Cave, Backed, Angled, Flake, Hopewell, Gary, Leaf, Etley, Gahagan, Lammelar, Harvey, Bronson, Handled, Corner Tanged, and Stanfield. Collection number and find location inscribed on 7 points. One point repaired from 2 pieces with break line visible. Losses, chips, nicks, and scratches to peripheries and faces of points, all commensurate with age and use. Otherwise, very nice. Set in a wooden frame with metal wire on verso for suspension. Chip to lower left corner of frame and a few nicks throughout.
