Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. This is a fine pair of cuff bracelets, one made from sterling silver and the other is covered with glass beads. The silver cuff is formed from a thick wire twisted around a pair of thinner wires, creating a twisted rope pattern with rounded terminal tips. The other cuff is comprised of a suede panel sewn over a stiff metal band, then covered with fine seed beadwork in red, white, black, gray, orange, yellow, forming chevron and geometric shapes. Both cuffs are wearable! Condition
The interior of the suede cuff is worn from use and upper layers have peeled away. Beading is intact and excellent. Silver cuff has minor surface wear and dark toning. Intact and excellent. Both are wearable.
