Native American, Plains, Sioux or Apache, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A gorgeous leather pouch beautifully adorned with a beaded motif in vibrant hues of marigold, crimson, cobalt, orange, sky blue, forest green, light pink, grey, black, and white. Rectangular in form, the elaborate accessory boasts a diamond-shaped flower with six extending petals/leaves surrounded by a black and white striped border on one side, and a central circular motif with four extending phytomorphic designs surrounded by a red and green border on the other. A thin strip of leather is at the top for suspending from one's shoulder as well as securing the top of the bag shut, while dozens of strands of beads cascade downwards from the pouch's base, creating a mesmerizing effect as they sway with the movement of the satchel. The sides and top of the pouch are additionally embellished by a skillfully sewn arrangement of powder blue beads.
