Bruno Zupan (American, Slovenian born, b. 1939), "The Wedding Couple" - an original signed Artist's Proof, late 20th century. "Artist's Proof" written in pencil on lower left. Title written in pencil at lower center. Signed by the artist in pencil on the lower right. A magical composition depicting a Jewish couple embracing and holding a giant bouquet of flowers while standing in a field of flowers and trees on their wedding day. Face to face in an intimate pose of wedded bliss, the happy couple is dressed traditionally - the man wearing a black suit and yarmulke or kippah, the woman donning a long gown. The color palette is stunning, replete with a beautiful combination of yellow, red, pink, blue, purple, green, black, and white hues that conjure spring - the season of love. The scene is surrounded by an attractive, complementary border of flowers and leaves. Size: image measures 25" W x 20.5" H (63.5 cm x 52.1 cm), sheet measures 36" W x 27.625" H (91.4 cm x 70.2 cm)
