North America, United States, ca. mid-20th century CE. A steel and brass stamp plate used for embossing the likeness of Roy Rogers into leather! The steel plate has 8 different brass plaques that are affixed and raised upon the surface- 4 are the "RR" emblem and the others are of Rogers riding and posing with his horse Trigger or posing with his German shepherd, Bullet- who were arguably the best characters of the show. This trio maintained law and order in the fictional western town of Mineral City in the television series "The Roy Rogers Show," as well as affiliated movies and radio programs. Fans could purchase wallets, belts, gun holsters, and numerous other leather items stamped with these beloved television characters. This plate was likely used in the production of these "Happy Trails" memorabilia! Size (steel plate): 10.5" L x 7" W (26.7 cm x 17.8 cm)
