Southern Africa, Erongo Mountains, Karibib, Erongo Region, Namibia (South America, Cruzeiro Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil) ca. millions of years old. A pair of exceptional crystals. The first is an icy blue rod-form fragment of aquamarine encrusted at its base and up its side with lustrous black schorl tourmaline and flakes of white and grey orthoclase with russet hued earthen deposits. The translucent yet dense composition of this columnar mineral is indicative of its dense crystalline structure. The second is a fragment of opaque watermelon tourmaline fading between hues of vivid violet, lilac, and olive-grey covered in pearly beige lepidolite. Beautiful examples of jewelry-grade crystals! Aquamarine Size: 1.375" L x 1.375" W (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm); 3" H (7.6 cm) on included custom stand. Tourmaline Size: 2.625" L x 1.875" W (6.7 cm x 4.8 cm); 2.5" H (6.4 cm) on included custom stand.
