Central/Northern Europe, Celtic culture, ca. 200 BCE to 500 CE; Western Europe, probably France or England, ca. 18th century CE. A fine set of two forged-iron weapons from the ancient Celtic culture and one European hunting dagger. The European dagger features a slender, single-edged knife with a thick spine, a curved butt end, and an integral handle with rivets indicating where panels of either bone, leather, or stone were applied. Next is a pair of Celtic iron knife blades of single-edged construction, one with a gently curved profile and a wide tang, and the other with a linear profile with a narrow tang. All three weapons are covered in layers of oxidation and patina. Size of largest: 13" L x 1.2" W (33 cm x 3 cm)

Condition
Two knife blades have nicks to edges and tangs as shown; dagger is intact and very good save for missing its original handle panels. All pieces have slight bending to overall forms and light encrustations. Great oxidation and patina throughout.
