Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, United States or Canada, Tlingit / Haida, & Inuit, ca. 19th century CE. A collection of 3 bone artifacts from Northwestern Coastal and Inuit people; 2 totemic pendants and a comb. The pendants are stylized formline effigies- the larger is a raven with a shaman's head protruding from under the wings, and the other is the head of a zoomorph in profile-possibly a bear or frog. The beak of the raven and tip of the bear's head are pierced for suspension as wearable protective charms. The comb is Inuit made with a rounded handle and finial incised with circles above the 5 teeth. Size (raven & shaman): 2.75" L x 1" W (7 cm x 2.5 cm)
