North America, Southern United States, Tennessee or Georgia, Civil War Period, ca. 1861 to 1865 CE. A lovely ensemble of American Civil War memorabilia: 3 iron padlocks, a brass lid to a soapbox, 4 lead bullets, and a brass pocket watch. The lid of the soap box presents a rectangular form and is embossed with the words "Toilet Soap" in an elegant script with a vegetal motif. Three of the bullets display pointed heads with 3 horizontal grooves around each of their bodies, while the remaining projectile has a rounded top and no grooves. All 3 iron locks exhibit flattened bodies with arching handles. Last, the brass pocket watch features a discoid body and raised hinge. Bending and indentations to soap box lid and 3 bullets, but form of each is still clear. Some minor losses to top of soap box. Pocket watch and locks do not open or function. All have surface wear as shown with heavy patina. All displayed in modern Riker case.
