Europe, N.P., Two broadside posters from "The Delineator" - April and May numbers, ca. 1900 CE. Both present colorful Art Nouveau images of fashionable women wearing period dress in lush outdoor settings on one side - and stylized text on the opposite side. One reads, "A Royal Issue! The April Number...With Its Richly Colored Plates Of Spring Fashions, Novelties In Fancy-Work, And High-Class Literary Matter. / Every Lady Should Have It." The other broadside reads, "Now Comes The May Number of The Class of Fashion Up-to-Date, Chic … Pretty, Piquant and Fashionable!" - and also includes text in German and Spanish at the lower right. Condition
May number has acid free tape on verso to repair a few tears and a couple of tiny losses to peripheries. April number has two minute stains, a small piece of transparent tape on verso at lower left, and a minute tear at lower right. Both have brief notes in pencil at upper left corners - presumably collector's notations.
