A fascinating, leather-bound Bible comprised of 1094 machine-made paper pages and titled, "The Holy Bible: Containing The Old and New Testaments: Together with the Apocrypha: Translated out of the Original Tongues, and with the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revise with Marginal Notes and References to which are added, An Index; An Alphabetical Table of all the names in the Old and New Testaments, with their significations; Tables of Scripture Weights, Measures, And Coins: John Brown's Concordance, & c." Containing 13 leaves of detailed, black and white plates, the massive codex was printed and sold in New York by Collins and Co. Size: 8.9" L x 3.1" W x 11.3" H (22.6 cm x 7.9 cm x 28.7 cm)

Condition
Losses of spine and areas of leather on peripheries. Front cover detached and only "Concordance" attached to back cover. Remaining pages are detached from each other into 4 sections, one section being only comprised of 2 pages, but the others of comparable sizes. Tearing, folding, and staining to many pages with losses to peripheries of some pages. Markings from previous owner - likely a child - on title page and frontispiece, as well as a few other pages. Nice patina throughout.
