Southeast Asia, Thailand, Sawankhalok (Sawankhalok) culture, Sukhothai Period, ca. 15th century CE. A beautiful sage green celadon bowl set atop a flat discoidal foot with thick walls which flare outwards completing a wide basin. The vessel has a minimalist presentation featuring tightly incised bands that encircle its basin in expanding intervals. Its inner-most basin displays an amazing translucent craquelure that is not to be missed. The bowl's outer rim is slightly curled giving a gentle elegance to its presentation. A charming example! Size: 8.25" in diameter x 3" H (21 cm x 7.6 cm)
