Native American, Texas, Missouri, New Mexico, Arizona, and Illinois, Transitional Paleo-Indian Period, ca. 13000 to 9300 BCE (15,000 to 9,500 BP). An exemplary collection of 13 hand-knapped stone projectile points boasting hues of misty rose, burnt sienna, butterscotch, blue-grey, vanilla, taupe, dark grey, and cream. Presenting lanceolate and triangular fluted forms, these impressive arrowheads represent the Midland, Clovis, Folsom, Pelican, Nochta, and Hi-Lo types. Knapped lithics, like these examples, are made using percussion, striking them with other stones; the process required to get them the correct shape requires training and skill. Size of largest: 1.375" W x 2.625" H (3.5 cm x 6.7 cm); Size of frame: 11" W x 8.875" H (27.9 cm x 22.5 cm)
