Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate Period to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A fine collection of 12 mold-formed faience amulets from ancient Egypt. First is a striding amulet of the amalgam deity Tawaret (also Tauret, Thoueris). Next is an ambiguous striding deity, perhaps the ram-headed god Khnum. A faience head of the goddess Isis shows her donning her signature throne-shaped headdress. A miniature, blue-glazed, openwork bead exhibits a rectangular form. A serrated eye features light blue glaze and a black pupil. Finally, 7 ocular phylactic symbols known as wadjet (also wedjat or Eye of Horus) feature varying shades of blue glaze, some with incised details, and others with black or white pupils. Size of largest (wadjet): 0.86" W x 0.75" H (2.2 cm x 1.9 cm)

Condition
Head of Isis is a fragment of a larger piece; remaining 11 pieces are intact and very good. Abrasions, softening to some finer details, and fading to glaze pigment all commensurate with age, with light encrustations, and some pitting. Nice remains of glaze pigment throughout.
