About the Artist:
Yangdzom Lama is a London-based multimedia artist who works with painting, embroidery and ceramics. She is inspired by her Himalayan heritage, Tibetan Buddhist teachings on compassion, and the beautiful art that has come from such a rich culture. Much of her work is autobiographical, and uses animal symbolism to explore themes such as interconnectedness and the divine. She is on the autism spectrum, and credits the creation of her intricate artworks to the meticulous attitude autistic people so often have. Through her work, Yangdzom aims to celebrate neurodivergence as well as the beautiful diversity of all beings living on Earth.
