About the Artist:
I am Tashi Nyima, a Tibetan artist living in Dharamsala, India. As a multidisciplinary artist, I am passionate about exploring new mediums and incorporating diverse styles into my artwork. Since childhood, I have been deeply involved in the arts, which led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Anitoons College of Art in Delhi. A continuous search for new techniques and expressions characterizes my creative journey. Being Tibetan and an artist, I am driven by the emotional connection with small things and desire to tell authentic stories about the daily lives of people around me, who are mostly Tibetan. Many people have stereotypical views of Tibetans as enlightened and compassionate beings, detached from worldly struggles. Through my art, I aim to bridge this gap, showing that we all share common human experiences and aspirations for happiness, and a universal desire to avoid suffering. My work seeks to connect with global audiences, fostering a deeper understanding and empathy for the Tibetan community.
