This beautiful vessel was made from a polychrome stone with alternating red and green bands, which run horizontally around the body of the vessel, to produce a pleasing visual effect. Such an elegant and carefully-made object may have been used to carry out ceremonies or make religious offerings to the gods. Good condition; on a custom-made stand.
