Ca. AD 700 - 800
An Abbasid ewer, free-blown from translucent dark green glass. The pyriform vessel features a lengthy neck, a flared mouth, and a slender, trailed handle, all enveloped in a dazzling, violet-hued iridescence. It is embellished with three moulded white glass lines around the neck. This vessel would have once contained fragrances and rich oils.
