To the unaided eye, the piece looks to be in good condition. There is slight craquelure throughout the piece, and is most noticeable in the mane of the horse. Under ultraviolet light there are no signs of restoration. The piece is framed in a wood frame. The frame is in good condition with normal wear. Verso: newspaper article on the artist.
