To the unaided eye, the piece looks to be in very good condition. Under ultraviolet light there is a normal fluorescence of artist's varnish. The piece is framed in a copper colored frame with a linen liner. The frame is in very good condition with normal wear. Verso: 'Clearing Storm - Rhine Falls' 15 x 30 Oil on linen Note: This painting should be varnished any time after Jan, 1985. Arrangements should be made with the artist if possible. If not, the artist recommends varnishing by a professional with a 1 to 1 mixture of Damar and Matte varnish. The artist will reimburse the owner of this painting, if the owner presents a copy of the charges, for the work to the artist.
