To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in very good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals apparent minimal signs of restoration, all of which are close to the size of a pinhead and located in the sky region of the painting. Areas of potential restoration are located at the left edge, 2" from the top of the piece; 3" from the left, 1/4" from the top; 3 1/2" from the left, 2 1/2" and 3" from the top; 7" from the left, 2" from the top; 3 3/4" from the right, 1/2" from the top; 2" from the right, 3" from the top; 1/2" from the right, 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" from the top. These areas are only visible under ultraviolet light. The piece is framed in a semi-ornate antiqued gold molding with a linen liner. The frame is in good condition although there is some gold leaf chipping off. The bottom back right corner of the frame has a 1" chip in it and the bottom edge has areas that have been touched up with sharpie.
