Condition
Condition: Good
To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in good condition. There is a fine craquelure and cupping throughout the surface of the piece. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals two small areas of potential restoration located just above the artist's signature and just above and to the right of the mountain peak. They are each approximately one eighth of an inch in diameter. There are marks along the bottom edge of the piece from apparent shifting in the frame, as well as some flecks of gold leaf that have been transferred to the surface of the piece. The piece is frame in a semi-ornate antiqued gold frame. The frame is in goood condition for its age, showing normal signs of wear and a slight separation in the lower left and upper right corners.
