- Lot Description
Maria-Ascension Lorente-Huguet (also known as M.A.L. Huguet), (Spanish/American, Contemporary), "Monkey with Guitar", acrylic on canvas, signed lower right. Figural painting from the artist's "Human Animal" series depicting a bust length view of a blue monkey with feathered angel wings with long curled hair (similar to that found in iconic hair rock band musicians) and red top holding a mandolin in hands. Framed approximately 38.5" x 32.5". Unframed approximately 30.5" x 24".
Condition
Painting with scattered paint losses and craquelure throughout. Paint losses predominately on face, arm, neck and left area of background. Creases in canvas visible in upper right corner. No signs of holes, rips or tears.
