English, Late 17th/Early 18th century. William and Mary walnut oyster veneered chest of drawers, the rectangular top with molded edge and sectional veneer with concentric circular parquetry above two short and three long graduated drawers, all beaded with individual locking mechanisms and on turned bun feet. Height 35", width 38", depth 25.5".
Structurally sound. Scattered chips, imperfections, small losses of veneer, scattered patches of repairs. Back length of chest top with replaced wood and dark stain (see image #8). Left side panel shows separation and cracking. Hardware has been replaced. Separation to interior drawers. All wear commensurate with age. The feet are a later addition.
