- Lot Description
Continental, 18th century. William & Mary stained walnut and upholstered stool, the round padded seat with Chinoiserie style needlework cover edged in piping & tasseled fringe, raised on four S-scroll legs united by a turned and block X-form stretcher centered with a turned finial. Approximate height 16", diameter of seat 15".
Condition
Wobbling due to fracture to support, allowing legs to articulate slightly. Fabric with discoloration, commensurate with age and use. All fringe intact. Staining uneven commensurate with age. Worming to wood structure, not active; commensurate with age. Apparent glue repair to loss in one foot.
