Walker & Hall (English, founded 1845), circa 1853-1920. A George V Sheffield Plate tantalus with molded octagonal stepped plinth base with flat columnar ends with silhouetted ionic capitals joined at top by domed bar with stirrup handle, fitted with three cut crystal decanters of canted square from with upper half bearing lattice daisy and button motif, with fitted faceted ball finials. Impressed marks to side " Walker & Hall / Sheffield " over "PRO PAT / 16996". Overall approximate height 12.25", width 14.5", depth 6".
Overall good condition. Scattered areas of oxidation, scuffs and scratches to silverplate; not distracting. Tilting mechanism with key for removal of decanters is in working condition. Two stoppers have damage with loss to ends. One stopper with small chips. All decanter bases show scratches and minor flea bites as would be expected with age and usage. Interior of decanters have not been cleaned—evidence of some remaining residue.
