- Lot Description
Michel Liebeau (French, 1881-1923), "La Francaise Diamant"-1911, vintage advertising poster on paper, signed lower left "Mich" for artist, printed by Marcial, Goffin & Cie, Paris. Vintage poster depicting a red haired and winged nude woman on bicycle witn dynamic swirl on black ground. Text reading "PARIS-BREST-PARIS. 1901" and "PARIS- BREST-PARIS 1911". for long distance 1200km bicycle race which first began in 1891. Framed approximately 67.75" x 52.25".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Linen-backed. Repaired tears throughout, particularly one long one running down center and into lower right quadrant - has been repaired. Some creasing and wrinkling with some repaired losses. Damage is not overly distracting under glass. Would not recommend rolling given condition.
