Givenchy (French, founded 1952), circa 1981. A stunning silk chiffon floor length evening gown in shades of magenta pink and tomato red, the backless high necked halter dress with sheer bodice adorned with a cluster of ruffles as flower petals under chin with self ties to back of neck, the skirt with gathered layers of sheer chiffon fabric at waist creating a full silhouette down to floor, with separate sheer magenta silk chiffon long waist sash. US size 8, European size 38, UK size 10. White silk label to interior of waist at front "Givenchy Nouvelle Boutique, Paris, Swiss Made". Length (collar to hem) 58.5", length (waist seam to hem) 44".
