Ciner (American, founded 1892). Vintage costume necklace with two strands of round white faux pearl beads joined by cream colored enameled horse with pink round cabochon eyes, dark blue cabochon on head and rhinestones throughout--depicting horse with horseshoe in mouth. Interior of gold tone cast animal clasp marked "CINER". Approximate length 38.5".
Light wear to threads separating beads. Four missing rhinestones on horse's mane, with one additional on hair mane on side. Four missing rhinestones on horseshoe form bit. Wear to enamel particularly on area surrounding mouth. Loss to clasp of deployment button. Clasp opens when small pin is placed inside hole but elongated pin for deployment is broken off (see image 4).
