Vega Series, serigraph in colors on cream wove paper, limited edition 49/50, pencil numbered lower left margin "XXXXIX / L", pencil signed lower right margin. Vega Series screenprint depicting three vertically aligned globular forms seemingly rising from a flat background formed using geometry and perspective to fool the eye, this example of the artist's iconic Op Art style in tones of blue, pink, gold, and green. Framed approximately 51.25" x 34.75". Image size approximately 33.5" x 17". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
Examined out of the frame. Color vibrant and saturated, no apparent fading. Sheet not laid down, affixed by three pieces of clear tape along top edge to front mat board. Sheet with toning and fine/tiny foxing marks throughout, recto of sheet with mat burn. No apparent creasing, but sheet with light rippling and handling wear to edges and corners. No apparent tears, abrasions, losses, or pinholes.
