Danish, circa 1971. Mid-century modern Verner Panton "Pantonova" chair for Fritz Hansen, with chrome-plated or nickel-plated steel wire rods in continuous wedge form frame narrowing at the top and spreading across the seat with open sides. Approximate height 25.75", width 30", seat depth 23", seat height 13.5". Note: Literature: Verner Panton: The Collected Works, Remmele, ppg. 260, 263.
Seat portion of chair retains a polished finish, while other areas (such as underside of chair) have a powder coated finish. Chair may have been painted at one point. Traces of what appears to be black spray paint to back interior, which has faded over time (see image #7). Slight oxidation & pitting to metal. Two rods slightly bent on either side of front (see image #1). Would benefit from cleaning.
